MISSION STATEMENT
At The Core of ET Lowe Consulting
At ET Lowe Consulting, we are passionate about bringing people together to create long-term solutions that meet corporate and sustainability goals. In every situation, we draw on decades of industry experience, emotional intelligence and human-centric skills to deliver results that exceed expectations.
"What has been most gratifying is the opportunity to bring people together and shift team dynamics from combative to collaborative. It is this skill set that I am most proud to offer my clients."
MY STORY
Growing up in Richmond, Virginia, as the daughter of an Episcopal priest profoundly shaped how I view the world. It instilled in me a deep commitment to integrity, stewardship, social justice, community-building, and service to others. It also fostered a strong sense of creativity and entrepreneurship, born from the need to be financially self-sufficient.

My lifelong passion for animals and the outdoors has equally influenced my journey. From rescuing stray animals as a child and working in a veterinary office at 12, to serving as a “doggie doula” for a local rescue organization today, I have fostered over 100 dogs and puppies since 2014. An avid hiker, backpacker, and outdoorswoman from an early age, my love for nature evolved into a passion for environmental stewardship. This led me to pursue studies in environmental policy at Duke University, where I completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in five years while working 20 hours a week to finance my education.

In 1986, after a six-week cross-country road trip in my white Ford Galaxy 500 with my black Labrador retriever—camping and visiting national parks along the way—I arrived in Sacramento, California. There, I was introduced to the energy industry and found a way to blend my public policy and environmental background. I have worked to influence energy policies, helped customers lower their energy costs and reduce their carbon footprints and supported utility energy efficiency and other sustainability programs. Over the years, through leadership roles at energy service companies and consulting firms, as well as through industry-elected and Governor-appointed board positions, I have built a reputation as an energetic, collaborative, and trusted advocate for my clients.

Along the way, I have cultivated other skills that continue to serve me. As a single mother to two incredible (now adult) daughters, I learned the importance of balancing work and life, staying flexible, and maintaining a sense of humour through life’s challenges. A dedicated yoga practitioner since 2002, I earned my 200-hour teacher certification in 2013. This training sharpened my empathetic instincts, strengthened my ability to facilitate and support others, and enhanced my leadership and public speaking skills—teaching me the value of breathing, pausing, and truly listening.

Every chapter of my life has shaped the professional I am today. I am passionate about helping others, whether personal or professional colleagues, and about facilitating sustainable solutions that promote environmental stewardship. Known for my dependability and positive energy, I strive to bring creativity, humour, and a fresh perspective to even the most routine situations.

As I reflect on my journey, what has been most gratifying is the opportunity to bring people together—working with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders to set and achieve meaningful goals. My ability to shift dynamics from combative to collaborative, from debate to productive progress, distinguishes me from other consultants. It is this skill set that I am most proud to offer my clients.

"Elizabeth and team have such depth of experience working with utilities it was easy to hit the ground running and not have to help them navigate the complexities or challenges of the business. I asked her to do a deep dive on what felt like an overly complicated, disjointed and expensive process to try to identify opportunities to optimize to improve communication and productivity. They worked quickly coordinating.

Their ability to quickly grasp the big picture, make the right connection and work cross-functionally while attending to the details makes them an invaluable partner. They brought a fresh strategic perspective and a perfect blend of insight, professionalism, and clarity.

Elizabeth is a true thought partner—someone who listens deeply, asks the right questions, challenges assumptions and decisions and always keeps your goals at the center. I can't recommend her and her team enough."

"I am delighted to offer my unreserved reference for Elizabeth Lowe, whom I have known as an industry leader and colleague for decades. First things first, Elizabeth brings keen insight borne of years of clear-eyed leadership perspective and deep technical expertise to any clean energy-related engagement, but that is not what sets Elizabeth apart from other industry veterans, nor is it what makes her many gifts as a strategic advisor transferable across any corporate setting or industry convening. The reason I offer this testimonial for Elizabeth Lowe is the way she gets results.

Whether working within a corporate team or with an external stakeholder group of parties with potentially adverse interests, Elizabeth has the innate emotional intelligence and communication/leadership skill sets to shift the dynamic from combative to collaborative, and from positioning for debate to productive progress. Simply put, if you require results, I recommend that you consider engaging ET Lowe Consulting."
Gene Rodrigues
former Assistant Secretary for Electricity for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)
"I cannot adequately express my enthusiastic endorsement of Elizabeth as a strategic consultant, based on my experience working with her at Southern California Edison. In one instance, she was part of an innovative “tiger” team chartered to develop new concepts of demand side management that integrated the company and customers in a holistic manner.
With her help and leadership, the team went from managing a small pilot group of projects funded at $600K annually to then receiving CPUC approval to move forward with a new set of program and product designs with over $11M in authorized annual funding. Her expertise in helping us define our vision, strategic planning, teamwork facilitation, and driving for success won the day for the company and its customers. She made it happen and that project is one of my cherished experiences in working with her over several years."
